You know a brunch spot is doing something right when you walk in to find every table full, and nobody is minding the wait for a table. That’s exactly how this Bistro 66 brunch review begins. It was busy, really busy, but the kind of busy that feels buzzy. The restaurant was full of warmth, not stress. Fifteen minutes later, we were seated and already sold by several offerings on the menu.
Once we started eating, the reason for the buzz is obvious. Plenty of places can plate up a pretty brunch, but getting flavour and flair to meet in the middle is harder than it looks. I think Bistro 66 pretty much nailed it.

What we ordered at Bistro 66
The Sriracha Eggs were perfect. Thick toast stacked high with avocado, pickled onions and two perfectly poached eggs, all streaked with just enough sriracha to give a lovely heat. The spice stayed gentle, letting the creamy yolk and buttery avocado shine. It was vibrant, satisfying, and a generous portion.

Next up, the Labneh & Smoky Salmon. Cool labneh meets smoky salmon, sharp capers and pickled onions for balance. And yes, we added grilled bacon because brunch rules say why not? The bacon was meaty and very flavoursome.
And then the showstopper, Chorizo Hash Browns. Crisp on the outside, fluffy inside, covered in rich hollondaise sauce and topped with fiery red chorizo crumble. Guaranteed to disappear in minutes. If you go, don’t even think about skipping them. They have a truffle alternative I’d love to try next time too!

Strong coffee, green goodness
The coffee here deserves a mention, smooth and rich, clearly made from excellent beans with a proper grind. My black Americano was strong and clean, while the mocha struck that perfect balance between comforting and not-too-sweet. Then there was the Green Machine smoothie. Spinach, avocado, apple, mango, coconut, lime, a hint of ginger. It will make you feel instantly virtuous. On the pricier side, yes, but the flavour proves why. Fresh ingredients shine through, and it tastes genuinely delicious.
The space itself is polished but certainly not pretentious. It’s stylish enough for birthday breakfasts, but relaxed enough for slow Saturday mornings when you just want great food and an easy start.
Bistro 66 in Beeston is exactly what brunch dreams are made of. A full house, friendly service, and plates that prove style and substance can happily share a table. And yes, those chorizo hash browns were every bit as good as they looked.
